Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 1:01AM Photos below for the recently closed "Old Man and The Old Moon" by PigPen Theatre Co.
Co-designed with Lydia Fine.
"Bart Cortright, a projection designer credited with “scenography” for “The Old Man and the Old Moon,” is the unsung hero of this theatrical fable, achieving cinematic shadows with the help of designer Lydia Fine to bring PigPen Theatre Co.’s refreshing telling of the tale to resounding life."
"The rest of the production, while entirely endearing, does not achieve the same level of innovation as those lights, whose fixtures emote a cozy glow yet hang from the ceiling like industrial bulbs on a construction site."

Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:44AM I recently designed the video for Dan O' Neil's play Victor Frange Presents Gas. It performed for two weeks at the Incubator Arts Project.
In the climax of the show super heroes save the world. We used a camera as well as rear-projected video backdrops to create super hero powers. Michel Gondry esque camera tricks were utilized to make it seem as if the performers had super powers. A camera DS captured everything on stage, this was shown on two stacks of TVs on far stage left and right.
